Sup yoga is a discipline in which yoga is practiced on a stand up paddle surf board. Did you know it?
Sup yoga classes include meditation, breathing, warm-up, a sequence of postures (both sitting and standing) and a final relaxation or savasana part.
The best time to practice sup yoga is in the morning before the sun is too high or in the afternoon to enjoy a spectacular sunset. In Menorca we are fortunate to have an environment that facilitates the practice of sup yoga as the natural sea inlets provide an idyllic environment to live this experience in its turquoise and calm waters.
This activity will bring you numerous benefits, the fact of doing it on the board means that the stabilization work is greater than if we did it on land, therefore the work of the middle area of the body is intensified, thus assuming an added challenge to the practitioners.

About the area: the whole island
Menorca has an area of 702 square kilometres and 216 kilometres of coastline. It is the easternmost island of the Balearic archipelago. It consists of eight municipalities. It has a population of around 95,000 inhabitants. Its climate is typical of the Mediterranean with an average temperature of between 17 and 18 degrees Celsius and an average of 2,500 hours of sunshine a year. The island is generally flat with Monte Toro being the highest point at 358 metres above sea level. Menorca has some of the best preserved natural landscapes in the Mediterranean. It was declared a Biosphere Reserve by Unesco in 1993.
