Mª Àngels and Jaume have transformed this country house, which belongs to the family since 14th-century, in a small personal and warm Boutique Hotel-Restaurant. Its Arabic origins and the different expansions carried out by their different owners over the centuries had transformed it in a neoclassic stately house. It keeps a friendly and familiar atmosphere; the guests’ independence and comfort are their main priorities.
The great interest of the owners to look after the familiar and natural heritage has led them to maintain a farm, cattle farming and forestry exploitation. The country house Alcaufar Vell is one of the most beautiful and calm places in southeast Menorca . It is also surrounded by beautiful beaches of crystalline waters and fine sand. Alcaufar Vell has a dense forestry ravine, an old watchtower from 1802 overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, more than one kilometer of virgin beaches, and one thousand and fifty hectares perfect for hiking, horse riding or cycling.

About the area: Sant Lluís
Sant Lluís is the southernmost township, its population doesn’t reach 6.000 inhabitants and it has 40 square kilometers of land. Township with influences from different cultures established in the island. It was founded by the French. Among its beaches and towns are Punta Prima, Binisafua, Biniparratx and Binibequer whose main attraction is the re-creation of a fishermen village with its white little houses and quaint streets. It is a highlighted area because of its rural roads and typical houses of traditional architecture which create an appealing area of touristic flow called “Torret”.
