With its almost 2.5 km in length, Son Bou is the longest beach in Menorca and maintains the landscape and some peculiarities of the southern coves: fine white sand, clean and crystalline waters.
Son Bou is a shallow beach open to the sea and very comfortable for swimming
The beach has services of all kinds. It is suitable for people with reduced mobility, it has showers and toilets, beach bars where you can have a drink and it offers rental of hammocks or umbrellas.
At the eastern end of the beach, towards Mahón, you can see the archaeological remains of an early Christian basilica built around the 5th century.

About the area: Alaior
Alaior is the third location of Menorca with more than 9.000 inhabitants and 107 square kilometers of land. It is interesting to know streets and places such as Santa Eulalia church, Sant Pere chapel, Sa Lluna patio or the antique cloister of the franciscans. In this township there are many cheese and shoe factories and a dairy processing plant. Among its important touristic places are Cala’n Porter and Son Bou areas.
