About the area: Villacarlos
Es Castell (Villacarlos) is located two kilometers far from Mahon. It was founded by the British receiving the name of Georgetown. After the subsequent occupation by Franco-Spanish troops it was renamed Villacarlos in honor to King Charles III of Spain. Located between Corb cove and Cales Fonts, warm coves with natural caves transformed into cocktail bars, restaurants, stores, all of them in a calm and sailor environment. It is the first place in Spain where the sun rises.
